Severe storms in North Carolina

There is ongoing severe weather in eastern North Carolina, including three tornado warnings and numerous severe thunderstorm warnings. Baseball-size hail was reported in Sampson County about 3 pm EDT. There are not yet any preliminary reports of tornado touchdowns, but the dynamics are certainly there. Update: 2 preliminary tornado reports in Martin and Beaufort Counties, in the far eastern part of NC, near the Outer Banks. No reports of damage yet.
