Today's tornado potential

I was planning on chasing today, but at long last I think I have to sit this one out. Rain coverage will be increasing throughout the day from the Texas Panhandle into western and eventually central Oklahoma. (See radar grab from 11:28 CDT below).

The Storm Prediction Center's tornado outlook includes a 5% risk near Midland, Texas, much farther away from home than I had hoped. And even at that, any tornadoes will be short-lived, very isolated, and very rain-wrapped. I was hoping for an ideal October chase this afternoon, but it just isn't looking good. I'll update if anything changes. Below is SPC's tornado risk graphic for today.
