Snow blankets Las Vegas

Las Vegas, usually known for hot weather and palm trees, among other things, was hit today by the largest snowstorm the area has seen in 29 years. 6" snow totals were common today, even on the Strip, and higher totals were noted outside of town. Light snow is still falling at this hour. Below is a picture of planes grounded at McCarran International Airport, courtesy of KVVU-TV. Below that is a YouTube video uploaded today, showing some of the best-known Vegas landmarks shrouded in a blanket of snow, complete with Christmas music. How festive. Enjoy.
